In a time long past, there was a fair couple who bore two children. The first son was a lizard, the latter, an angel.  The couple loved their two children dearly, but a great shadow had befallen them all. As they grew, the lizard adorned glistening scales, whilst the angel’s wings grew in dark feathers. Deviating from the darkness that emanated from the angel’s shoulders, the couple was instantly drawn to the lizard’s magnificent scales. The lizard, being the devious creature that he was, sought to monopolize this opportunity lain before him.
As time went on, the family was ever-entranced in the lizard’s magnificent scales, whilst shunning upon the angels developing blackened wings. Feeling the couple’s discontent, the angel sought to prove himself to his family, but alas, all his efforts were in vain, as the couple could not help but revel in the lizard’s chromatic beauty.
As the lizards scales grew more luminous, he began to grow larger. As he grew, he grew sourer towards the couple’s constant presence, and in his brother. With his superior mindset, he thrived on their praise, yet he thoroughly despised them as lesser creatures.
The lizard commanded them “bring me food” and was replied with all the food the family possessed. After eating, he grew larger and larger, his scales growing more radiant with size.
Upon the next day, the lizard commanded they bring him riches, and was replied with all the riches the family possessed, and he devoured them too.
The next day, the lizard had grown far too large, so he commanded the family to grant him and him alone their home. “But where will we live?” the family replied, but the lizard raised his nose and snorted to the air, and ordered them again. He was granted their home, and devoured it.
And now the family was without food, without wealth, without home. All they had left was their little angel, cursed with blackened wings. The lizard had grown to gluttonous proportions, his scales beginning to dull under his massive bulk. “More” he had commanded. More.
It had come to that the lizard had grown too large, and he could no longer reach his own mouth. He commanded the family to clean his teeth. When they had set foot inside his mouth, he did not hesitate to devour them too.
Now all that was left was the angel. He stood before his brother, gorged on all the wealth given to him. The family had succumbed to his beauty and treated him like a god. And now he commanded obedience over his brother, the angel. To that the angel replied, “No”

The lizard started getting frustrated. Every time he tried to command his brother, he opposed him, and every time, the lizard began to shrink in size. The lizard became furious with his brother, he now wished to devour him too, but he knew not how to approach him without demanding him directly to his maw.
Time went on, and the angel continued to ignore his demands, the lizards mighty stature failing. It had come to that the lizard reached a diminutive size, his scales now darkened and dull, his mighty cries grew shrill. Not feasted in days, he grew weak and could not move. “Spare me” he pleaded to the angel. Feed me.
The angel looked down at the pathetic creature that the lizard had become. Find our own, he had said. With that the lizard frustration for obedience finally got to him, and he shrunk to the point where he ceased to exist. The lizard’s deceit and his family’s arrogance, and his blackened wings had inevitably robbed him of everything.
